( 23/07/2010 )
On 28 May 2010, National Institute for Occupational and Environmental Health (NIOEH) in co-operation with World Health Organization (WHO) organized a workshop on Sharing Lessons Learnt and Experiences in Implementation of Integrated Water, Sanitation and Hygiene in Schools and Healthcare Stations. This was part of the project to scale up models for integrated water supply and sanitation for schools and healthcare facilities at commune level. SANIVAT were invited to participate in this workshop and had two presentations. One focused on the opportunities for improved child centred hygiene and sanitation promotion in local institutions, which was part of Thilde Rheinlander’s PhD study and presented by Dr. Do Thuy Trang on behalf of the author since Thilde Rheinlander could not come to Vietnam. The second presentation was delivered by Ms. Le Thi Thanh Xuan with the topic “Latrine use behaviour among school children in Lao Cai province”. This was also part of Xuan’s PhD study.
